Add flair and pizzazz to your pics. The effect known as adding "Spot Color" allows you to highlight specific parts of your pictures by leaving the color intact and allowing other parts of your picture to be deemphasized by converting them to shades of gray.
Just load any picture from your photo library or camera and you will be presented with your photo in shades of gray. Now just use your finger to brush the color back into the areas that you want to highlight. Add a little too much color back? Just switch to the gray brush and use your finger to erase away the color just like magic! You can use the iPhone pinch to zoom in and out to get more control. SpotColor even supports the single-tap and double-tap zoom gestures.
SpotColor also supports undo/redo so that you can easily undo any mistakes as you go along.
When you are done, you can save your masterpiece back to your photo library or share it with your friends by emailing it right within the SpotColor app.
Tips
Need more control for detail work? Just zoom in using the zoom pinch or double tap and you can get into those tight areas.
Need to easily scroll around while using the color or gray brush? Try dragging with two fingers. Paint with one finger. Scroll with two. It works great!
SpotColor does not add or change the colors of your pictures. It lets you highlight your pictures with their original colors, while subtracting out the color from areas of your pictures that you want to deemphasize for dramatic effect.
Having trouble seeing the boundaries of where you have applied color? Toggle on the "View Mask" feature to see clearly where the color is being exposed.
Camera Button
You can use this button to load pictures either from your camera or from your photo album.
Finger Buttons
You can use these buttons to control what SpotColor does when you drag one finger around your picture.
Scroll and Pan Button
When this button is selected, you can use a single finger to scroll around your picture by dragging your finger around. Color Brush Button
When this button is selected, you can use a single finger to rub the color back into your photo, restoring its original colors. This allows you to easily hilite an area of interest with its own colors for dramatic effect. Gray Brush Button
When this button is selected, you can use a single finger to erase the color from your photo turning it back into shades of gray to deemphasize that area of the photo. Note: You can scroll when either of the brushes are selected by dragging with two fingers.
Undo and Redo Buttons
With these two buttons you can undo or redo changes. Make a mistake just touch the appropriate button to undo it.
Action Button
Touch this button to show a panel that will allow you to save your image or share it via email.
